Ok soooo
I wasn'tgoing to post again until after my classes started, which is tomorrow btw!! But I just have to write about my experience at that Dana Nature Reserve!!
Ok so the deal-we left mon morning, it was supposed to be about a three hour bus ride to thiswildlife reserve place right?? Then after about two hours through the trip--our bus broke down. Yes people, thats right, our bus's accelorator broke down in the middle fo the desert, seriously no where.....but thankfully we didn'thave to wait for a replacement bus to come all the way from Amman, a niec truck driver dude stopped by and fixed itso we were only stuck on the side of the highway for about a half hour.!!! Yay! So then we got moving again-and we FINALLY got there-it was BEAUTIFUL..like, no joke, who everknew the desertcould be so gorgeous?? I guess it wasn'treally desert, it was more like mountains, well yea, it was mountains, and there were trees and such..but still really hot and still covered in sand sooo...I dont know where that falls??? But anyway, afterwe got there ( this place is run by bedouins people), we had a nice lunch, and then the group went on this what was supposed to be a two hour nature hike to some cool caves-at this point, i started feelingnot so well, and two hours out in the very hot sun just did not sound appealing to me..so I opted to stay behind...which was good. While they were gone, the two other girls that weren't feeling so great and I took a nap, and then Kelsey and I had an...awkward lesson in Arabic. Our creepy old bus driver, who knew next to nothing in English, was trying to help us learn our Arabic body parts....yea...needless to say we got out of that situation in a hurry, and moved on to chat with the younger guys who ran the place and were our guides-they were nice, def. not creepy, def. way better! But it was fun cuz the one had studied at the King's university for four years and his English was pretty good...he even gave me an Arabic name!!!! Wahlid-it means flower...but anyawys, we had fun talking with them, until the creepy bus driver came back around..by this time, we really wanted our group to come back to camp...it had been three and a half hours!! Keepin mind that this was supposed to be a two hour hike thereand back!! Butthey FINALLY returned, but because they were so late we had to set off right away for the next hike! This one I decided to go on, cuz I was feeling better, and i didn't want to spend anymore time around that bus driver..(he didn't actually do anything, I dont want to give anyone the wrong impression, he just had t hat CREEP vibe, u kno?? And the whole body part lesson-even tho it was way helpful, was just a little too sketch) But anyways, so then we set off at a RUN up the mountainside..cuz we wanted to make it to the other side to the sunset! This was aBIG mountain...steep and rocky, and we were trying to run up it..I was pretty sure that mountain would be the end of me!! But wedid make it to the top..it was a lot of work though....o and we got lost! The little group of girls i was traveling in fell behind and somehow lost the path and we were justwandering the top of this mountain! But then we found the group and got tosee the most amazing sunset there ever was...seriously...mountains all around, and sun sinking....it was beautiful..I'd put up pictures if I could, but I realized shortly after I got here...I brought the WRONG USB cord for my camera :( ..but anways...then we had to treck back down the mountain...which almost killed me too...but we made it, by that time it was dark and time for dinner....after dinner we had another round of tea in the Bedoiun tent...they drink a lot of tea y'all.....and then...after the stars came out, we spent the rest of the night out on Pride Rock, yes the one from lion king!!!

Not really, but it loked like it, and it was AMAZING..the most beautiful night sky u've ever seen....and we had great bonding time as a group..I love it..all of it..we didn't retire to our tents until about 3 in the morning..it was an amazing night.....excepting the weird mouse-found-in-tent story..but that I'll save for later!! :) But anyways...today we watched this AMAZING movie-Captain Abu Raed...u all HAVE to see it when it comes out in the U.S.-seriously..it was the best movie I've seen in forever! But I got toget going now...probably gonna go out for a philofal...then back to the hotel to study for a bit-MIss u all! LOVE!
