Here we go!!!

Ok soooo I am sooo crazy excited you all have no idea! I left for Washington DC on Sunday, and it has been nuts ever since I got here. Like seriously-nuts. They(as in the directors of the program) have our days all planned out, and packed full. Since I've been here I've visited the Middle East Institute, The Embassy of Jordan, the dept. of State, the Capitol Building, the office of Sen. Russ Fiengold, ummmmm...and LOTS of other really cool amazing interesting things, I'm learning lots and I can't WAIT to come back and share it with everyone. I'm also getting a really interesting outlook on a lot of careers that can come out of the major I plan on pursuing. Basically, so far this trip[ has been very helpful in helpuing me figure out what to do for the rest of my life. Sorry if there are lots of typos and I seem rushed-I am! I have like no time-we leave tomorrow morning for the airport at 6:45, and there is sooo much to do before then-including repack everything that got scattered all voer my hotel room while in DC-But I just wanted to let everyone know I plan on blogging more about the whole experience, we just seriously haven't been given ANY freetime..I mean, it was in our schedules...but it never happened! SO I'm very excited, not so much for the 11 and a half hour flight, but for when we finally get there! I'll keep u all updated! Dont forget about me! LOVE AND MISS!
Kadie

P.S. I got to go to a screening of a REALLY cool documentry by Just Vision called "Encounter Point." I don't kno if Mr. Visger is following this blog but if he's not, will someone please get me his email-he needs to show this to his current events classes, and maybe (hint hint) it should be shown to the whole hs..it is an amazing view on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and it brought me to tears, I would be happy to tell everyone more about it and give everyone info on purchaseing it and showing it in classrooms, but for now, there is someone waiting for the computer so I have to go! Talk to everyone nezxt time! When I'm across the world!!!

Hi Kadie -I was going to tell you I'd get in touch with Mr. Visger but Ms Niemeyer beat me to it. What interesting places you were able to visit. What would you wear to the Jordan Embassy? What types of clothing restrictions are you to follow? Have they given you pretty specific direction? Keep on writing -I love to hear your stories.
