So summer is winding to a close, and school is just around the corner, and as I begin to pack up my life in Poynette for the last time in preparations for moving out for good, I can't help but reflect just a little.
Returning home this summer after my trip to Israel/Palestine was kind of hard for me, my small home town is SO much different in every way than the Middle East. But the pros over the course of the last two months have definitely been all the time I've gotten to spend with my family. I'm grateful for this summer and the time i got to spend with the people I love, even if I did spend half of it wishing I was abroad :)
But now that I'm leaving again, going back to school, without any real plans to return, I have to give credit to my home town and how far its gotten me...
My trip to Israel/Palestine seems like a lifetime ago, but if I sit down and really think about it, I can still remember every detail so completely, right down to the smell in the air as the sun came up, after all the bread trucks had gone on their way for the day. I miss my fellow Quest I/Pers very much, and have heard from some various times this summer, with their different adventures all over the world....I can't wait to join them in creating more of my own adventures. I can't wait to have my next experience of a lifetime!
School this semester will be tough, but I know its just another stepping stone...

My journey is far from over :)
...btw, I'm pretty sure I'll be heading to Ecuador for Winter Break :)
..until next time!
